Animals All Around

How are animals the same and different?

Hello Families!

Get ready to explore, read, and play! Children learn all the time, and your involvement is crucial. Here you will find the tools you need to support your little learner at home. Here we grow!

Let's Celebrate!

In the coming weeks, children will draw their favorite animals and learn about traits of different animals through books, art, and movement. You will be invited to participate as we celebrate our classroom's zoo!

Family Letters

Hello Families! Learn what we are talking about each week, and discover some simple activities you can do at home. Literacy is everyday practices, not just something that happens in school.

Volunteer Notes

You can help! In the coming weeks, be on the look-out for volunteer requests, or contact your teacher to learn how you can participate.

Celebration Notes

Your little ones achieve new milestones each day. Notice if they say "please" when asking for something, tell a complete story, or correctly identify a shape. Celebrate these little leaps with a pat on the back and "You've learned so much!"

Theme 8: Animals All Around

Animals offer many traits to compare: size, color, body parts, diet, movement, sound, and habitat, just to name a few! This month, we learn about different animals and discuss how they are the same and different.

Try This!

Your commitment is the key to your little learner's success. Ready to unlock a bright future? Do these daily activities and routines at home!

Count to 15 and clap as you say each number.

What do you like to do with friends? How do you show you are a good friend?

Compare and Contrast

Take turns holding different small objects and deciding which ones are heavy and which ones are light.

Making a List

Brainstorm a list of animals that start with these letters: F, G, H, P, S, T.
